Action Camp is a three day camping event for people throughout Wales introducing some of the major issues facing our communities and planet in a fun and engaging way. It helps make the principles of ESDGC live in our communities with the attendees making a real difference.

The camp is based in Clickets football club near Kiln Park Tenby, which provides access to a wide range of facilities and activities that give the attendees the chance of a traditional holiday experience.

Accommodation

The accommodation is in large 20 berth scout style tents with campers expected to share, two per bedroom. Each bedroom is equipped with an inflatable airbed. The accommodation is split into male and female tents with at least one adult supervisor per 9 young people in each tent, although best practice would dictate two adults wherever possible should accompany the young people.

Catering

Action Camp prepares food for a large number of young people. All staff handling food have the appropriate food hygiene qualifications and all food is delivered daily using Tesco’s home delivery service minimising the length of time any food is stored.  A Day Dot system is in place to ensure any food used is within its appropriate date. Refrigeration equipment is on-site with temperature checks undertaken twice a day. Dry hand sanitizing gel is used extensively throughout the camp.
